REFUGIO ISD EDUCATION FOUNDATION AT A GLANCE
The Refugio ISD Education Foundation was founded in August 2019 by a group of community volunteers, many of whom are alumni of Refugio High School. Our sole passion is to give back to the same school and community that we attribute with helping mold us into the holistic adults we are today. It is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit tax-exempt philanthropic charitable organization that solicits funding from private and corporate sources. The Education Foundation provides a new and innovative source of funding to support the school district’s educational plan. It is the intention of the Education Foundation to provide funding for new programs and activities not supported or not fully funded by general operating funds. These funds will be used to support programs to enhance student achievement, to recognize exemplary staff involvement, and to foster community support and involvement. The Foundation’s long term development plan calls for expansion of ongoing activities and projects that involve the entire community of staff, families, businesses, and organizations to build a broader base of funding and a higher level of support for the school district.
Working Towards a Better Tomorrow
The mission of the Refugio ISD Education Foundation is to partner with the community to provide financial resources to enrich teaching, inspire learning, and maximize innovative opportunities for all students in the Refugio Independent School District.
